Every second and fourth Saturday is Soul Saturdays Poetry Open Mic at Old Major! Come see local poets and spoken-artists perform. On. Jan. 12, local talent Malcolm Ivanon is the featured artist.
Shots & Giggles Comedy Open Mic is back at Old Major on January 19! Hosted by Comedian D. Lo, the featured act is the very funny Sandy Bernstein (www.sandybernsteincomedy.com/)!
Kondwani Fidel, Baltimore-based spoken-word artist and acclaimed author of "Raw Wounds," is the first author featured in Old Major's new Lit Tuesday series, focusing on local authors and literature! Fidel has made Old Major a stop on the tour for his book," Hummingbird in the Trenches," on Tuesday, January 22. He will give a talk and sign books.
On Saturday, February 2 at 8 p.m., we will be sippin' and paintin' at Old Major! Hosted by Dev Dapree and Baltimore Artist Myrrh Made. Your $20 ticket includes materials. Attendees will get a free glass of wine, sangria or beer!
Author Kara Granelli and John Hulede will read from and discuss their book My Therapist Is: Everyone has a story and it is time they are heard."
Description: Walk in the shoes of 17 different people and feel their stories firsthand. This book is a poetic journey through the battles of mental health and the victories of therapy.
Soul Saturdays Poetry Open Mic is back on February 9 and will feature artist Aliyah Michelle. Tix are available online and at the door.
The Showcase is a new monthly music event held at Old Major to showcase local musical talent in Baltimore. Music artists Dev Dapree and King RJ will lead the event. This event was rescheduled from Jan. 29 due to inclement weather.
