
Wretched Reads Horror Book & Film Club: Maus/Persepolis + Persepolis Screening

On Thursday, April 24, the Wretched Reads Horror Book Club will meet at Old Major. The group is led by Oli Turner, a co-founder of Small Doll Productions, a local horror-film production company.
The group will discuss two books: “Maus I & II” By Art Spiegelman & “Persepolis” by Marjane Satrapi. The evening’s film screening is Persepolis (2007).
Maus: A Survivor’s Tale is the illustrated true story of Vladek Spiegelman’s experiences during World War II, as told by his son, Artie.
Persepolis is a series of autobiographical graphic novels by Marjane Satrapi that depict her childhood and early adult years in Iran and Austria during and after the Islamic Revolution. The title Persepolis is a reference to the ancient capital of the Persian Empire.
Old Major’s doors open at 6 p.m. for food and drink service.
