Free Fall Baltimore: The Baltimore Horror Movie Festival
October 19 @ 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Small Doll Productions x RAD Baltimore are so thrilled to announce that we are a recipient of the 2024 Free Fall Grant awarded by the Baltimore Office of Promotion and Arts
October 19th, 6-11 @oldmajorbmore and @railroadartsdistrictbaltimore will feature the works of local filmmakers/film companies original short indie horror films along with a killer set of incredible musicians and artists for a night of local horror that you definitely won’t forget!
Since 2020 we have been hosting an annual October Horror Film Festival in Baltimore. When we started this journey we were in the middle of a pandemic. Many artists, like ourselves, felt displaced, uncertain about the future and concerned for how the arts would be effected for years to come.
We made this festival because we wanted to create a place for local and indie horror and horror adjacent filmmakers, Baltimoreans, artists, our community: to share their stories, experiences, and what is truly scary to them. This year we are thrilled to have the opportunity to pay our artists a small amount upfront!
Horror is community building in that it is a place where we can all come together and share our collective fears and the things that keep us up at night. Small Doll believes that horror is for everyone and even if you think your work, stories, or ideas aren’t scary: what’s scary to you is scary to us. Even if horror isn’t usually “your thing” we hope you give us a chance to surprise you!
We hope that you will join us in supporting local horror artists this October!
We always have a sliding scale of optional donations. All of our donations will return to the featured artists. For more information or if you would like to join us in presenting your original horror work, please email us at smalldollproductions@gmail.com
Stay creepy Bmore! See you on the 19th!
