AfroPics Movie Screening (Films from the African Diaspora)

February 22 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The AfroPics movie series showcases a variety of movies from the African diaspora. Our next movie is the biographical drama film “Rustin” (2023).

Plot:
Bayard Rustin, advisor to Martin Luther King Jr., dedicates his life to the quest for racial equality, human rights and worldwide democracy. However, as an openly gay Black man, he is all but erased from the civil rights movement he helped build.

Trailer: RUSTIN | Official Trailer | Netflix (youtube.com)

All attendees are required to make a purchase of food and/or drink in support of the host venue. No exceptions.

The Baltimore Film Club welcomes anyone who enjoys watching movies, documentaries and short films in the company of others. We will watch a range of films—ranging from art house to cult classic to B-movies and even the occasional blockbuster. We may even screen some concert films—because we love music, too!

We hope to bring together a community of people who simply enjoy watching films and documentaries.
If you are curious about any particular screening, send an email to team@oldmajorbaltimore.com.
Screenings are free with the purchase of food or drink.
